Shelby began her employment with Parkinson Benson Potter shortly after the Zogg Fire of 2020 impacted her community of Igo-Ono. As a client relations specialist, she has had a hand in helping hundreds of our clients. Serving in this position is where she found her passion for helping wildfire victims, walking clients through every step of the process with grace and compassion. The first year was a formative one; she gained valuable experiences that led her to begin a career in wildfire litigation. As the fires still continue to rage across the state of California, Shelby has stepped into leadership roles by guiding local staff brought onto the team from the various communities affected by the wildfires. Shelby continues to guide local staff while also assisting many more clients who have reached out for our help. Shelby prides herself on her studious attention to detail and her balance of professionalism and compassion. Shelby is a wildfire victim herself, making it easier for her to relate with clients. She finds it of the utmost importance to provide an individualized experience to each of the clients she helps as they set out to rebuild their lives with the help of Parkinson Benson Potter.
In her spare time, Shelby enjoys playing guitar and enjoying outdoor adventures with her family. She is a sixth-generation rancher and loves being involved and helping her family in their agricultural endeavors, ensuring her family’s legacy. She also serves on council as treasurer for her Trinity County Nor Rel Muk Wintu tribe and is an Ono Grange member, also serving as treasurer. Both extracurricular ventures bring her much joy in helping create a better future for both communities.
