Katie McLennan

Biography Overview

Katie McLennan graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010, and later received her law degree with high honors from the S. J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah, in 2014. Since then, she has had extensive experience handling civil and criminal litigation in both the public and private sectors. She has worked as a clerk for the Department of Justice, the Federal Public Defender’s Office, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office, and as an associate at a large Salt Lake City law firm. Through those experiences, she has learned what it means to advocate for victims’ rights.

Ms. McLennan now primarily handles wildfire litigation and white collar criminal cases—working to ensure that victims and defendants are represented during their most trying times. She has represented numerous victims in the Camp, Zogg, and Dixie Fires. She has also represented white collar defendants in numerous federal criminal cases, including mail fraud, wire fraud, healthcare fraud, securities fraud, money laundering, and Ponzi schemes. Ms. McLennan was selected for inclusion in Mountain States Super Lawyers as a Rising Star.

When she’s not practicing law, Ms. McLennan enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and two dogs. She loves hiking, traveling, baking, and doing yoga.
